We’re Hiring: Membership Secretary

06 November 2025

We are looking for an organised, people-focused, and creatively minded Membership Secretary to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the experience of our members, support the next generation of artist managers, and play a key role at the heart of the UK’s music industry.

What You’ll Do

As our Membership Secretary, you’ll lead the way on membership strategy, growth, engagement, and retention – making sure every member feels connected, supported, and valued.

You’ll manage our CRM and communications, help run our events, and ensure the MMF community continues to grow in both size and spirit.

Main Responsibilities

Membership & Community

  • Develop and deliver an annual membership strategy – from pricing and structure to outreach and engagement.
  • Manage our CRM system and membership data.
  • Report back regularly to the team and board, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Cater for the different tiers of membership – create resources, answer questions, and guide members.
  • Manage and invoice renewals for all our company members and organise annual meetings to management companies
  • Identify and target new members.
  • Provide friendly, responsive support to members, represent MMF at industry events, panels, and universities.

Events & Teamwork

  • Take the lead on key MMF events – from planning and promotion to on-the-day delivery.
  • Support across the full events calendar, helping with marketing, logistics, and artist liaison.
  • Support the organisation of the Board, Custodians and ThinkTank, creating accurate records of discussions and actions.
  • Occasional support for the CEO’s diary organisation.

Communications & Creativity

  • Work with our Communications Coordinator to shape and deliver an annual communications strategy, keeping digital channels up to date, engaging, and on-brand
  • Manage the relationship with our website developers including website integration with our membership systems.

The Artist & Manager Awards

  • Support ticket sales, nominations, and categories such as Breakthrough Artist, Breakthrough Manager, and Secret Weapon Award.
  • Provide artist liaison and support on the event day.

Sustainability

  • Develop MMF’s sustainability strategy and represent MMF on Earthpercent’s Music Advisory Board
  • Integrate sustainability themes into our events, including the Artist & Manager Awards.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Organised, confident, and full of initiative.
  • A great communicator and strong attention to detail.
  • Experienced in CRM systems, websites and member engagement.
  • Knowledge of wordpress and chargebee would be helpful but not essential
  • Excited by building relationships and supporting creative communities.
  • Passionate about music, community, sustainability, and making a difference.

How to Apply

Send your CV and a cover letter telling us why you’d be great for the role to alison@themmf.net by Friday 21st November 2025.
