Manager Spotlight: Sarah Muise

12 September 2024

The manager spotlight offers a small insight into the heads of incredible managers. This week in the spotlight is Sarah Muise!

How long have you worked in Management?

15 years.

Who do you manage now?

Alissic, Cobrah, Shygirl

Where did you find your first client and what inspired you to take them on?

Backstage at fabric! I was working as an assistant for DJs then and really wanted to work with live artists and fashion. I found the right middle ground between electronic and live artists.

What does a good/bad day at work look like for you?

Good day, zero emails – spending a brainstorming day with my artists in a pool and coming up with a lot of creative ideas and strategy.

Bad day – promoters and labels misunderstanding our needs and communication being difficult.

What has been the highlight of your management career to date?

Selling out a Pop/club show in one of the biggest clubs in Ibiza.
Receiving midnight calls from Beyoncé’s team.
Currently working on developing the first life changing backend system for managers.

What do you think are the big challenges for a manager in 2024?

Trying to make noise for your artist in a very crowded market.

What did you gain from the Accelerator Programme?

Confidence and help when I started my own company. Knowing that I wasn’t alone and financial help to give me strength to go for it.

Why would you recommend the MMF?

Tight nit community with other managers living the same thing and growing at the same time – helping each other in a field where there is no road book.

What music are you currently listening to?

– Sault
– Jungle
– Daniel Norgren
– Phoenix
