Songkick Joins MMF as new associate, CEO Matt Jones comments

29 June 2016

We are pleased to announce that Songkick, a platform connecting some of the world’s greatest artists with millions of fans around the globe, have joined the MMF as a new associate.

As the world’s leading independent artist-ticketing and concert discovery platform, Songkick partners with hundreds of artists to take control of the ticketing experience, and engage with fans in incredible ways.

The Songkick vision is simple: every show should sell out. Used by millions, its concert discovery platform is the world’s biggest direct-to-fan marketing channel, targeting the people who listen to music across more than 60 markets globally, with notifications and tickets whenever their favourite artists are playing nearby.

With a prioritised effort to empower artists to take control of their ticketing, Songkick has worked with artists including Mumford & Sons, Passenger, Paul McCartney, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers to use its platform to better the fan experience, and its proprietary technology to ensure tickets end up in the hands of dedicated fans, rather than on the secondary market.

Songkick’s CEO Matt Jones said: “Songkick strives to be a transparent, pioneering technology partner to artists: making it possible for musicians to remain in control of their tickets, and connect them with their global fan-base better than ever before.”

“We’re proud to join the Music Managers Forum as an Associate, and look forward to continuing our work with its members to help artists take control of their ticketing, grow their live businesses, and fight touts.”
