Meet Symphonic - an independent music distribution and artist services company.

Please introduce Symphonic, what you do and how you work with music managers and music creators?
Symphonic is an independent music distribution and artist services company founded in 2006. We work with artists, managers, and labels to distribute music globally while also supporting the business side of a career – royalties, analytics, marketing, and long-term growth.

For managers specifically, we act as an extension of your team. That means transparent reporting, clear royalty accounting, flexible deal structures, and real human support. Our goal is to give managers the tools and infrastructure they need so they can focus on strategy, creative direction, and career building rather than admin and spreadsheets.

Tell us more about your services and the importance you play in the music industry?
At our core, Symphonic distributes music to 200+ DSPs worldwide, but our role extends far beyond delivery. We support the full lifecycle of a release and catalog, with services designed to scale as artists grow.

Our offerings include:

  • Global distribution at scale across 200+ DSPs, supporting consistent release
    schedules and growing catalogs
  • Transparent royalty collection and split payments, ensuring collaborators are paid
    accurately and on time
  • Advanced analytics and reporting across DSPs, playlists, UGC, and territories to
inform smarter release and marketing decisions
  • Managed Spotify Discovery Mode, handled by our team rather than as a self-serve
    tool
  • Marketing and release support, including playlist pitching, campaign tools, and
    strategic guidance
  • UGC monetization across YouTube, TikTok, Meta platforms, SoundCloud, and more
  • Optional services such as sync licensing, publishing administration, and neighboring
rights to support broader revenue strategies

Our importance in the industry comes from our independence and long-term approach. We are not owned by a major label or DSP, which allows us to operate with incentives aligned around sustainable growth, catalog value, and career longevity. Symphonic functions as a strategic partner, supporting artists and their teams as they move from momentum to scale.

What have you been working on recently (if you’re able to say)?
Recently, we’ve been focused on a few key initiatives. We’re continuing to expand our presence in Europe and APAC, building out local expertise and partnerships to better support artists and catalogs in those markets. On the product side, we’ve been developing a Release Campaign Builder designed to help teams plan, execute, and track releases more effectively across
platforms.

We’re also proud to have been part of several Grammy-recognized projects this past year, with artists in our ecosystem earning seven nominations. Looking ahead, we’re beginning to gear up for Symphonic’s 20th anniversary, which will be a moment to reflect on our history as an independent company and invest further in what’s next for the global music community.

When is the right time for an artist or manager to start working with Symphonic?
The right time to work with Symphonic is when the focus shifts beyond simply getting music released and toward building a sustainable, long-term business. That might look like more consistent release activity, a growing and engaged audience, or the need for clearer visibility into royalties, performance data, and overall strategy.

Symphonic supports artists and teams across all stages of a career, from early growth through established catalogs. It’s often at the point where DIY tools, spreadsheets, or fragmented services stop scaling that our role becomes most impactful. We provide the infrastructure, human support, and strategic alignment needed to grow alongside an evolving roster, not just support a single release or moment in time.

What are your plans for 2026?
In 2026, our focus is on expanding Symphonic’s global footprint while continuing to deepen the value we provide across the artist and team ecosystem. A major priority is further establishing and growing our presence in the UK and EU, with an emphasis on building strong local relationships, strategic partnerships, and meaningful on-the-ground support across those markets.

Alongside international expansion, we’re continuing to invest in technology that simplifies royalty management, increases transparency, and reduces administrative complexity as operations scale. This includes improving reporting and insights across platforms and territories, strengthening international infrastructure, and developing tools that support more informed, long-term decision-making around releases and catalogs.

Ultimately, our goal is to make Symphonic the most artist- and team-friendly platform in the industry: one that combines global reach, reliable infrastructure, and human support to grow alongside careers over time.

What new music releases are you currently enjoying?
Current obsessions
ALBUM: Tessa Rose Jackson ‘The Lighthouse’ – a spellbinding beauty of an album
ARTIST: Ni Maxine – a rising voice in the UK Jazz scene, one to watch for sure.
TRACK: Robyn ‘Talk To Me’ – counting down the days to the new album!

What was the last gig you went to?
I was lucky to be over at ESNS and caught some incredible artists. Keo, Becky Sikasa and TTSSFU all UK artist highlights.

Is there anything you would like to say to music managers who are interested in finding out more about Symphonic?
If you’re a manager, think of us as infrastructure and extension of your team – not just distribution. We care deeply about long-term careers and real relationships. We want to do right by the music and the people behind it. If you value transparency, human
support, and a partner that understands both the creative and business sides of music, we’re always open to having a conversation.
