A summary of events and resources for music managers from the week.

 

Laura from the MMF team was at Music Industry + Music Education Conference (MIME) in Manchester, moderating a panel on what crucial knowledge and key skills young people need in order to pursue a successful career in music.

 

Applications for Round 23 of BPI’s Music Export Growth Scheme (MEGS) are closing on 6th December. The funding exists to boost British music exports by supporting small to medium sized music companies as they build on the commercial potential and profile of their artists in overseas markets.

As part of the launch of its Knowledge Centre, EMMA has collated a selection of mental health resources, aiming to provide practical support for the mental health and well-being of managers, including an examination of the the impacts of neurodiversity and racism in the music industry.

FAC expands tour support to UK artists as LIVE Trust funding more than doubles

The Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) is delighted to announce a substantial increase in support from the LIVE Trust for the UK Artist Touring (UKAT) fund, with the receipt of an additional £300,000 collected from voluntary ticket contributions at large-scale music events, including shows by Harry Styles, Take That, Wolf Alice, Lorde, Kasabian, Radiohead, Jessie Ware, Basement Jaxx and Duran Duran.
