Don’t miss out on Royalties from 2004-2005

27 September 2012

A reminder to our members that PPL will soon stop distributing airplay royalties from 2004 and 2005. Claim your recordings before 15 October 2012 here to avoid missing out on royalties that may be due to you.

A number of recordings from 2004 to 2009 are registered with PPL that do not have a rights holder listed and without this information PPL cannot pay out the royalties for these tracks. View the list of unclaimed recordings and then follow the instructions to let PPL know if you control the rights.

This exercise is particularly important for any royalties that PPL is currently holding for these recordings from 2004 and 2005. In 2013 PPL will close the distribution periods of 2004 and 2005 and no longer pay airplay royalties for these years. This move is in line with the applicable six-year statutory limitation period. Members have until 15 October 2012 to claim royalties from 2004 and 2005.

If you see a recording listed that you control the rights to, you should make a claim. If your claim is successful, the royalties will be paid to you in December 2012.
