Greater London Authority is setting up a Music Development Board

26 January 2016

Last January the Mayor called a meeting of London’s music venues as a large number of them were facing closure or had already closed.

The Greater London Authority is now setting up a Music Development Board which aims to implement the recommendations in the Rescue Plan for Grassroots Music Venues.

The board will be made up of representatives from London’s music industry, venues, licensing authorities, police, planning departments and transport authorities, as well as cultural sector funders.

Visit the Music Venues Trust website to find out more. You can download the Rescue Plan directly here.
