PRS has launched two apps you need to know about
MMF recently held a PRS workshop in which two new products were launched; The Live Concert Tool for acts performing overseas and a Live Performance submission app to easily report live performances.
The Overseas Live Concert Tool shows local tariffs across global territories ensuring that artists and managers know whether or not their show settlement is correct. With tariffs differing from territory to territory it is important that performers have access to the right information and can match specific data reported by local partners. The service shows the actual royalty rate, published rate (actual tariff), applicable discounts, tax and admin deductions and distribution information for each territory. With previous reports to the MMF of discrepancies in payments from overseas performances, this tool aims to minimise errors and ensure the artist is paid correctly. PRS are also able to backdate reporting information to check on data from past tours.
The tool is available on request to all PRS members, in a lite or pro version and managers will need a mandate form for third party access. For more information, email Simon.Aldridge@prsformusic.com.
The Live Performance reporting tool is a newly developed digital service to support many of PRS’ current initiatives such as the Gigs and Clubs scheme and allows for much easier submission of setlist and gig information for performers. The tool can backdate seven years worth of UK claims and three years worth of international claims. For more information, click here.
