MMF announce Jayne Stynes as General Manager

04 September 2019

The Music Managers Forum (MMF) is delighted to announce that Jayne Stynes starts today in the new position of General Manager.

With six years experience at Eleven Management, Jayne has worked extensively on live and recorded campaigns for artists including Damon Albarn, Blur, Gorillaz, The Clash, Spoek Mathambo, Róisín Murphy and Kano. Her personal career highlights include working on the Africa Express, Orchestra of Syrian Musicians tour, the Gorillaz curated Demon Dayz Festival and Kano’s ‘Made In The Manor’ campaign.

More recently, Jayne has completed one year of a PhD programme at the Centre for Cultural Policy and Research at the University of Glasgow, exploring the significance of gender-focused initiatives in the UK music industries and wider creative industries.

She will return to this research, on a part-time basis, in 2020.

While based in Glasgow, Jayne also volunteered with Girls Rock Glasgow and held a communications role with Parat+, an app designed for musicians and artists working with visual and audio, in particular those using 3D audio and ambisonics.

Annabella Coldrick, CEO, MMF, said:

“This is a fantastic appointment for the MMF. Over recent years we have undergone a period of rapid expansion, both in terms of membership numbers, our Associate programme and in the range of activities and initiatives we support. Jayne’s depth of experience will enable us to carry on delivering the maximum possible support to our ever-growing community.”

Jayne Stynes, GM, MMF, said:

“The MMF is an organisation I have looked to continuously throughout my career to date, from attending training days to drawing on the wealth of information inside their detailed guides. I am excited to be joining such a compelling, dynamic organisation and look forward to working alongside Annabella and the entire MMF team, the board, Associates and most especially the members.”

The MMF currently represents almost 700 UK-based music managers – and has more than 40 Associate Partners.

Alongside a range of training and educational initiatives, including the Accelerator Programme for Music Managers, the MMF has pioneered the widely acclaimed Dissecting The Digital Dollar initiative, as well as the award-winning FanFair Alliance campaign which has been fundamental to ongoing reforms of the secondary ticketing market.

The organisation is a founding member of UK Music, the European Music Managers Alliance (EMMA) and the Council of Music Makers (CMM).
