Music Publishing Module 3 – Monday 7th April

The next module of the Music Publishing Professional Development Programme will look at Sub-Publishing, Co-Publishing, Publisher/Publisher Relationships, Contracts and International Royalty Tracking.

  • Sub-publisher roles, licensing & practical relationship management
  • Direct membership of overseas collecting societies: practicalities & implications
  • Print, classical, media and popular music sub-publishing: differentials & comparisons
  • Sub-publishing and co-publishing agreements
  • Process & procedure: from negotiation to termination
  • Key terms & conditions: implications and negotiation positions in 2014
  • Royalty tracking & auditing: physical & digital revenue streams
  • Cash flow: attributable income, deductions, royalty collection, taxation & distribution
