Manager Spotlight : Pascal Balletti

15 July 2022

This week in the spotlight is Pascal Balletti! The Manager Spotlight offers a small insight into the heads of incredible managers.

How long have you worked in Management?

I’ve worked in management since August 2019, almost 3 years!

Who do you manage now?

I currently manage an artist called ENNY and a producer called TyeGreen.

Where did you find your first client and what inspired you to take them on?

I met my first client ENNY through my old work place Reprezent Radio. I was the playlist manger there from 2018 till 2021 and one day my old boss sent me one of her unreleased demos to consider for the playlist. I played the demo and honestly lost my mind, the music was so good, from the beat selection to the lyrical content. I didn’t some research found ENNY on instagram and reached out. Being a music producer at first we would just link up and make music but as we made more music I became clear to me that we had built a good relationship and had made some good music so I offered to manage her temporarily. I really believe in ENNY’s talent and that’s what inspired me to manage her.

What’s a good/bad day at work look like for you?

Typically a good day for me is when we have just pulled something off that we spent months planning and it all went down as planned if not better. That moment when you see all the hard work and dedication behind the scenes pay off is fulfilling. The days where you get some really big news are gassy as well! A bad day at the office is probably when something the team has put lots of energy and time into doesn’t quite meet my standards, I set high standards for myself. If a live performance or music video doesn’t meet those standards it can feel quite bad, especially when you’ve spent a lot of money and time.

What has been the highlight of your management career to date?

Honestly the whole journey is one massive highlight but if I were to pick out moments trips abroad to Berlin to do COLORS in 2020 or to Barcelona to play at Primavera in 2022 have been special, also ENNY’s MOBO’s performance in 2021. That being said the wins at the start of my career will stick with me forever as they were much less expected and felt more like blessings.

What do you think are the big challenges for a manager in 2022?

I feel like the biggest challenges are financial especially early on when you probably have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet.

What music are you currently listening to?

ENNY’s unreleased music
KinKai – A Pennies Worth
Proph – Side Mission
Bad With Phones – Living and Surfing
