The Long Road: Live & Touring Day

13 Feb 2018 , 10AM - 5PM
£120 / £90 / £60

The Road to Tour Management is a one day course run by the Music Managers Forum. Presented by Erik Nielsen and Andy Inglis, the course will cover subjects such as how to get gigs, direct-to-fan ticketing, booking agents and promoters, how to budget and – perhaps! – make a profit, and international touring. Erik will also be discussing merchandise – what to produce, how to make it, and how to sell it.

Andy will be taking over for the rest of the afternoon, and will be presenting “A Day in the Life” of a tour. From who does what, to looking after yourself – physically and mentally – whilst on tour, Andy will divulge what it’s really like to be on the road, how to keep the band happy, and the importance of planning and accounting.

The day will be finished off with a Q&A session with both Erik and Andy.

Tickets cost £120 (inc.VAT.) MMF members can claim a 50% discount, whilst other trade body members (AIM, BASCA, FAC, MPA, MPG, MU) can claim 25%.

MMF Members Special Offer! Members can purchase a joint ticket with the January 14th edition of the Essentials of Music Management course, paying just £100 for both sessions – a saving of £20 on top of their 50% members discount.
