MMF Live & Touring Day

22 Feb 2019 , 10am - 5pm
£55 + VAT MMF Members, £82.50 + VAT Trade Body, £110 + VAT Non-Members

Live & Touring (level 1) is a one-day course run by the Music Managers Forum. Presented by Erik Nielsen and tour manager Tre Stead (Frank Turner), the course will cover subjects such as how to get gigs, direct-to-fan ticketing, booking agents and promoters, how to budget and – perhaps! – make a profit, and international touring. Erik will also be discussing merchandise – what to produce, how to make it, and how to sell it.

The afternoon part of the course will include a presentation from the tour manager Tre, giving attendees an insight into “A Day in the Life” of a tour. From who does what, to looking after yourself – physically and mentally – whilst on tour, delving into what it’s really like to be on the road, how to keep the band happy, and the importance of planning and accounting.

The day will be finished off with a Q&A session.

Tickets cost £132 (inc.VAT.) MMF members can claim a 50% discount, whilst other trade body members (AIM, BASCA, FAC, MPA, MPG, MU) can claim 25%.
