➡️First, I want to welcome any stories you want to share about how social distancing is impacting your artists and your businesses, and to understand how you are dealing with this.  If there is anything Facebook can do to help be supportive, we are here to brainstorm with you.

➡️ Second, I’ve included our Live Music Broadcast Playbook in case you are looking for a way to connect your artist with your fans using FB Live.  Please hit us with any questions, and also let us know if you have planned a live stream or content that we should be aware of as we may be able to support in a more tangible way.

➡️ Last, I have official messaging attached and below from our overall Partnerships leadership.  As your artists have such a huge influence on their fans, we want to be sure they are armed with this very carefully vetted information straight from the WHO, and that the information they are sharing is accurate.  There are also fundraising opportunities.

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Facebook is working closely with leading health authorities, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), UNICEF, and national ministries of health, to keep people safe and informed.

Today, we’d like to share a few opportunities for you to get involved:

1. Share the Facebook Fundraiser for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund

This morning we announced $20M in matching donations to support global relief efforts for COVID-19. This commitment includes $10M for the United Nations Foundation (UNF) and World Health Organization’s (WHO) newly established COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, and $10M for the CDC Foundation.

The COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fundraiser supports WHO’s global efforts to track the outbreak, help patients and frontline workers, and speed up vaccine and treatment development.

The CDC Foundation plans to launch their fundraiser in the coming weeks to directly aid public health responders in local communities, create education campaigns and much more.

We know every dollar counts for organizations, so 100% of what’s raised on Facebook and Instagram always goes to the benefiting organization.

Please consider sharing the fundraiser with your audience.

On Facebook, share the fundraiser to your Page.

On Instagram, add the fundraiser link in your bio or use a “Swipe Up” in Instagram Stories.

2. Join the WHO #SafeHands Challenge

To join the WHO #SafeHands challenge, choose one of the hand hygiene methods below and take a video to show your fans how you are following the WHO guidance.

There are two ways to practice hand hygiene:

1. Hand rub with an alcohol-based sanitizer (at least 20-30 seconds)

2. Hand wash with soap and water (at least 40-60 seconds)

Get creative! We have the opportunity to amplify your #SafeHands videos, so please send us any videos or posts that you create.

3. Share official information from the WHO with your audience

Share key messages from the World Health Organization Facebook Page or Instagram account to your followers.

Please see the PDF’s below for more information and suggested posts to share.
